Transportation Supervisor – Kent, WA
What You’ll Do:
You’ll lead a fast-paced transportation team that keeps critical deliveries running smoothly and safely. This isn’t just about moving products - it’s about people, performance, and precision. If you're a logistics leader who knows how to motivate teams, resolve issues on the fly, and keep things rolling no matter what, you’re in the right place.
In This Role, You’ll:
- Be present and engaged on the warehouse floor - providing hands-on support when coverage is low, operations fall behind, or leadership needs to step in
- Oversee daily transportation operations, including routing, delivery performance, driver coverage, and equipment needs
- Lead and support a team of up to 100 drivers across multiple shifts, providing coaching, feedback, and guidance - including in union environments
- Monitor driver performance (on-time delivery, off-load rate, reliability) while driving continuous improvement and resolving issues calmly in real time
- Ensure DOT compliance and uphold safety standards across personnel, vehicles, and records
- Utilize and update routing tools and on-board systems (e.g., CADEC, XATA) for daily planning, analysis, and cross-functional coordination with warehouse leadership
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of transportation or food distribution experience, including supervisory roles
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, driver safety, routing software, and logistics reporting
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills - you know how to lead through complexity
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, drivers, and external partners
- Work in a temperature-controlled warehouse - dry, chill, and freezer zones
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required); management or operations-related fields a plus
The Schedule & Setting:
- Full-time, on-site supervisory role in a temperature-controlled warehouse
- Supports a 24/7 operation with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Leads a large-scale transportation team focused on safety, reliability, and service
Pay & Benefits:
- Pay Range (Base Pay): $ 80,168 - $95,024
- Weekly pay (every Friday)
- Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
